Trauma Day
A one day programme for theatre staff involved in managing the Trauma Patient
Managing the trauma patient represents a significant challenge for the entire theatre team. This programme aims to address the needs of nurses who may be involved in this demanding and unpredictable speciality.
Following the patient through from arrival in the Accident and Emergency department to definitive surgical management in the operating theatre, the programme has a particular focus on the management of complex fractures in the multiply injured patient, together with an insight into effective leadership in today’s NHS.
Interactive and thought provoking this programme will develop the knowledge of both the management of the poly trauma patient and also leadership in the modern NHS.
