Versa-Fx® II Femoral Fixation System
Strength
The Versa-Fx II Femoral Fixation System combines the strength of 22-13-5 stainless steel with a low profile tube/plate junction designed to reduce soft tissue impingement and irritation. An anatomically contoured side plate helps ensure a snug fit through the entire length of the bone/plate interface.
A wide selection of sizes, tube/plate angles, and screw hole configurations provide the versatility to use the Versa-Fx II System in a variety of indications, including intracapsular, intertrochanteric, and subtrochanteric fractures (Winquist Type III comminuted fractures). The tube has a reduced outside diameter that requires less bone removal and thereby causes less trauma to the femur. The most the proximal slot will accept is a 7.0mm cannulated screw to capture fragments on the medial side.
Instruments
Versa-Fx II instrumentation is arranged in the sequence required to follow standard surgical technique. The instrumentation works with both keyed and keyless options.
