On October 2, 2003, Zimmer, Inc. acquired Centerpulse AG (now Zimmer GmbH and Zimmer Austin), and completed its acquisition of Implex Corporation (now Zimmer Trabecular Metal Technologies) on April 23, 2004. Products made by each of these companies were not designed to be used with products from other manufacturers. Currently, all of these products are packaged and labeled Zimmer, but there is no assurance that products from these previously separate companies may be safely used in combination with each other.
This website has been developed to address the potential compatibility of
product families of legacy Zimmer, Centerpulse, and Implex companies. In
order to establish compatibility, extensive testing and engineering
evaluations are being completed to assure our global customers that paired
products from the formerly separate companies can safely be used in
combination.
