Zimmer® NexGen LPS-Flex Mobile and LPS-Mobile Bearing Knees

Designed for safe high flexion

Options for surgeons.  Options for patients.

The Zimmer NexGen LPS-Flex Mobile and LPS-Mobile Bearing Knees provide options that allow the surgeon to select components based on the patient’s willingness and ability to achieve high flexion.   Specific design features help to maintain adequate tibiofemoral contact during high flexion and provide greater clearance for the patellar tendon.

Accommodating Safe Flexion

  • The extended posterior flange of the NexGen LPS-Flex Mobile Bearing Knee safely accommodates tibiofemoral contact during deep flexion of 155°.
  • A deepened patellar groove facilitates patellofemoral tracking and relieves pressure on the patella, reducing forces that can cause premature wear.
  • The LPS Mobile Bearing Knee accommodates up to 120° of active flexion.

Restoring Natural Kinematics

  • An anteriorly located trunnion provides a more anterior axis of rotation that better accommodates femoral rollback during flexion.
  • Tibial plate allows internal/external total axial rotation of 50°.
  • Anterior stop prevents spin-out.

Enhanced PS Cam/Spine Mechanism

  • Designed to provide the ability for range of motion up to 155° active flexion (LPS-Flex Mobile only).
  • Increases subluxation resistance at deep flexion angles.
  • Proportionally sized anchoring pegs on the femoral component provide additional stability.

Minimally Invasive Procedures

  • Innovative, minimally invasive TKA techniques help improve patient outcomes.
  • MIS Instrumentation facilitates accurate, repeatable bone cuts.
  • Benefits may include smaller incisions, less blood loss, and less pain.

Choice of Zimmer Instruments

  • MIS NexGen Multi-Reference® 4-in1 Instrumentation System
  • MIS Intramedullary Instrumentation System.
  • Can make the mobile or fixed bearing decision intraoperatively.
  • Can switch intraoperatively from mobile bearing to fixed bearing implants with no additional steps.
