Morscher E, et al.  The cemented MS-30 stem.  Endoprosthetics 1995(E.):211-219.This article discusses the design rational for the development of the MS-30 hip.  Topics covered include:  optimal cement mantle thickness, polished vs. matte surface finish, cross-section and factors involved in the early loosening of a cemented stem.
How to use this article:  Surgeon requests for general design rational information of the MS-30.

Pending publication:  In this letter, Dr. Morscher reviews his clinical study data on the MS-30 hip.  The results of his prospective randomized study focuses on a matte vs. highly polished surface finishes on the MS-30 and long-term implant survivorship.  Dr. Morscher’s current 10-year results show an implant survivorship of 99.8%.
How to use these results:  Surgeon requests for long-term clinical results on the MS-30.

Pending publication:  This poster, presented at the 2002 AAOS, reviews the long-term clinical results of the MS-30.  The purpose of this study was to review the eight-to-eleven year results of the MS-30 hip.  Ten-year average results, show an implant survivorship of 98.5%.
